NEWS - 10th December - Calendars have finally arrived and are now available.

Comprising 12 full colour, A3 pages plus a front cover, the calendars have a spiral binder and hanging loop.

Priced at £8.00 including protective tube and UK postage.
Competition winners will be sent copies over the next couple of days.

We are very lucky to live in a beautiful part of the world.

Royal Deeside runs from the grey North Sea in Aberdeen to the majestic heights of the Grampian Mountains in the West. It contains a wide variety of landscapes, habitats, wildlife and topography. Its settlements and land-use reflect over 5,000 years of human occupation and influence.

 

The Rotary Club of Banchory-Ternan is keen to celebrate the beauty of Deeside and invites you to share your own special photographs on this website. The photographs will be displayed in our galleries (see button on left) and after closing date, will be judged and assessed by a panel of expert judges. They will select the best in each class and from each group, totalling 12 images. One for each month.

There will be cash prizes of £25 for the winners of each class.

 

We will then arrange the publication of a 2010 picture calendar.

Participants may submit up to 8 photos for which there is and entre fee of £3.00 (payable on-line)

When available, participants can purchase a calendar for a discount price of £3.00.

Retail prices have still to be announced.

 

What subject matter do you accept? - There are four main classes of image:

 

  • Deeside Flora and Fauna
  • The Best of Deeside
  • Deeside at Work and Play
  • Seasons on Deeside

 

Who can enter? - Entrants will be accepted from the following groups:

 

  • Primary school pupils
  • Secondary school pupils
  • The general public - (except for full-time professional photographers)
